ZeloPay does not receive, hold, or custody client money.
No client money
ZeloPay is built so that it does not hold client money. We do not operate a stored-value balance, a customer trust account, or a wallet. We do not take possession of the funds a card charge creates.
No custody
ZeloPay does not custody settlement assets or any other digital asset. We do not hold private keys and we do not sign transactions.
Who does the regulated work
The intended live model is partner-led. A card acquirer accepts the card payment and handles card data. A settlement partner performs any conversion or redemption. A payout partner sends Australian dollars to a bank account. A verification partner performs identity, business, sanctions, and PEP checks where those checks are required.
ZeloPay's role is the software: the quote, the instruction to the partner, the status, and the record.
What this site is today
This website is a beta demonstration with fictional cards, accounts, and balances. It is not a live payments service. It does not mean a licence, a partnership, or a regulatory status is already in place.
Before any live money
An Australian payments and financial-services lawyer has to confirm the live model, the disclosures, and whether any licence, registration, or representative arrangement is required. ZeloPay will not describe itself as licensed until that is true.
A payout is not the bill
Money arriving in a bank account is not the same thing as paying the ATO or a supplier. You pay that bill yourself after funds arrive in an account you control.
